Didi enjoys watching Jiejie play computer games. They will usually share a chair, and didi will be the "backseat driver" and tells Jiejie what to do in his own language, and for some reaosn, Jiejie understands everything he said. 弟弟喜歡看姊姊玩電腦遊戲.他們通常會一起坐在一張大椅子上面,弟弟會用他自已的語言告訴姊姊下一步該怎麼做,奇妙的是姊姊也都聽得懂.

以琳的代禱

以琳從兩歲半後就從來沒有讓我真正的擔心過.她是一個心地善良,正直公義,可愛天真的小女孩. 沒有一天過去我沒有感謝神,賜給我這個善解人意的小天使陪伴著我. 有時看著她像蝴蝶般的在我身旁飛舞著, 她甜蜜的笑容,貼心的舉止有時我還真是覺得:"我配嗎?"

傻裡傻氣的以樂現在是我們家唯一的爆點.等他再懂事些,我們家就和平多了.

從小, 耶穌對她來說是親近熟悉的, 用以琳的字眼來說,耶穌是她的好朋友.以琳也是個愛禱告的孩子,對她來說禱告只是一個跟耶穌聊天的代言詞... 她單純的信心真是好直得我來學習.

今天我們在吃中飯時,我和以琳不知道怎麼聊到"蟲蟲". 以琳說她好喜歡蟲,我不小心跟她說:"媽媽好怕蟲蟲喔!" 她二話不說,就放下湯匙跟我說:"媽媽,我來幫你禱告,教耶穌讓你不怕蟲!" 我以為她只是說她會為我代禱即可,想不到,她真的在等我把筷子放下來,眼睛閉起來跟著她一起禱告.看她慎重的表情,我也不敢怠慢的趕快一起眼睛閉起來. 她就扶著我的手禱告:" 親愛的耶穌,請你讓媽媽知道你在保護媽媽,讓媽媽不要怕蟲蟲.蟲蟲很可愛,像蚯蚓阿,七星瓢蟲阿,都不會咬人的...耶穌給媽媽勇敢,讓她不怕...蟲蟲好可愛的...奉耶穌的名,阿們." 雖然她的句子斷來斷去的,也沒用到什麼基督徒會用的"專有名詞", 可是我感動的眼淚都流下來了! 我一直期待我孩子為我祝福禱告的那一天,萬萬想不到,那麼快就到來了! 以琳看到我流眼淚,她以為我真得很怕蟲,她還拍拍我說:"媽媽不要怕蟲,耶穌會保護你!" 噢,我的心肝寶貝女兒, 你不知道媽媽多麼的為妳感謝神嗎?

晚上以琳要睡覺前,我都會跟她一起禱告,將今天所做的事情都感謝神的帶領與保護. 以琳說她也要為我禱告 (again!) 我跟她說,那就請耶穌給媽媽有力量. 她問我說:"有力量要做什麼?" 我說:"這樣子,我明天才可以好好的跟以琳和以樂玩阿!" "喔!" 她了解了. 她的禱告詞是這樣子的:"親愛的耶穌,請你給媽媽有力氣,給她吃多一點飯,吃多一點飯以後就會有力氣,耶穌,請你給媽媽多一點的飯,這樣她吃飽了就會有力氣.謝謝耶穌.奉耶穌的名,阿們." 雖然我的心裡在想:"不要給我吃太多飯啦!減肥可難囉!" 可是我知道,那是以琳的邏輯. 因為我們也常常在她吃飯拖拖拉拉的時候跟她說:"以琳,沒有吃飯,就沒有力氣可以玩遊戲喔!" 想不到,她還舉一反三的用來當禱告詞.

一天可以被女兒祝福個兩次,一次是勇敢,一次是力量.我相信神會垂聽小孩子的禱告的. 謝謝妳,以琳. 媽媽今天從耶穌那裡得到祝福,都是因為有妳在為我禱告.

以琳出生前我就拼命的為她的生命禱告.那麼快活的弟弟,我也要好好的多下工夫為他禱告. 但願他的活力他的喜樂有一天都可以為神來使用. 弟弟加油!! 弟弟,下一個為媽媽祝福的,就是你啦!

Long awaited date night! 久違的約會

This was our FIRST date since the you-know-who x2 were born. We went to Cheesecake factory for dinner and just relax and chat. And I realized all over again what a cool man my husband is! 我們生完小孩子後第一次出去約會.我們去個餐廳吃飯閒聊哈啦.我又從新發現,我的老公真是一個寶!

Elaine's Taiwanese Feet 以琳的台灣腳

One day Elaine was measuring her feet, and we decided to make a footprint just for fun. After Elaine colored it and showed it to me, I said :"Wow! It looks a little bit like Taiwan!" And she said to me :"Yes mommy, this is my Taiwanese foot!"

有一天以琳在量他的腳長,我們決定要畫個腳印.以琳畫好了以後拿來給我看,我不經意的說"哇,好像台灣喔!" 他說:"對阿!這是我的台灣腳!"

We're egyptians! 埃及人

以琳很夯古埃及的任何一件事物,而我們的弟弟...只要是姊姊喜歡的他也要加入! Elaine is crazy about Egyptology, and our little didi...will participate in whatever Elaine is doing!

以琳說他們是埃及人, 可是我怎麼看都覺得他們像小約瑟和馬利亞...

Here Elaine claims they are Egyptians, but I think they look more little Mary and Joseph.

Or little farmers..."No! We are Egyptian!" 還是小農夫呢? 可是以琳說:"不是!我們是埃及人!"

I LOVE Krispy Kreme! 我愛甜甜圈!

I've never heard anyone use Krispy Kreme donuts in their sermon, but Louie Giglio did. After I heard this sermon, not only I got a clearer difference between "knowing" and "experiencing" the love of God. I also have this crazy craving for a KK original glazed donuts. Apparently I was not the only one who love it... 我從來沒聽過任何一個牧師用甜甜圈來做講道的題材,可是Louie Giglio牧師就這樣做了. 我不但更了解"知識上認識神"和"親身體驗神"的不同.我也忽然間很想很想大口咬下去Krispy Kreme 甜甜圈. 真的是世界第一讚的甜甜圈啦!

Denver Art Museum 丹佛美術館

Another Elaine's passion is- Ancient Egyptology. When I saw the advertisement that King Tut exibition is showing in DAM, I'm determined to take Elaine to see it. 以琳的另一個興趣-古埃及. 當我看到美術館現在有法老王的showing, 我就下定決心要帶以琳來看一看.

This special King Tut's exibition is not free (expensive!) for adults however (sigh...) so we decided that only Elaine and I are going... 這個特別的秀小孩子免費,可是大人很貴($30) 所以我們決定只有媽媽帶著以琳去看,爸爸付錢的時候心在滴血阿~ 謝謝啦爸爸! 以琳和我會記在心底,以後報答您的!

Here she found an yellow caterpillar, and requested to take a picture with it. 有一天眼尖的以琳看到草地上有黃色的毛毛蟲在努力的往前爬,她趕快叫我幫她跟毛蟲照張相!

School starts! 開學囉!

吹泡泡 Bubbles

弟弟迷上吹泡泡, 經過了許久的練習,他終於學會了! 他吹泡泡的神情超認真的!可是一不小心泡泡水會給他灑了一半...媽媽學乖了,以後只給他半瓶就好. Didi loves bubbles, and he finally mastered the skill of blowing bubbles! He looked so serious and concentrated when he's blowing!

雖然我覺得他們的爸爸不太適合帶帽子,可是小朋友們帶起帽子還別有一番風味呢! Although I don't think their father's head is suitable for wearing any hats, but the kids looks great with it !

馬里蘭州遊一 Maryland trip part 1

這個暑假我們一起去看阿心阿姨 This summer we visited A-hsin ayi in Maryland.

We went to the Washington D.C. National Zoo 我們去華盛頓國家動物園

那一天只有一個字來形容就是-熱.(快一百度的悶熱濕氣)在動物園裡有設這種噴霧器讓大家消暑. 以琳每看到一個就去噴一下. 看他的頭髮都是水珠 That day can be described in one word- hotness. Almost 100 degree of humid air... In the zoo there are misty sprinklers set up so you can get a bit of relief from the heat. Elaine would go up to every single one of it and get spray all over.

唯一在家裡吃的幾餐 The only few meals at home during the whole trip

想不到以琳很喜歡啃雞爪,而且還是他自己跟我要的! 他自己安靜的坐在椅子上啃了三四隻雞爪,花了好長一段時間,雖然還是肯得不太乾淨,可是媽媽覺得他好厲害囉! 正港台灣人啦! Can't believe Elaine enjoys chewing on chicken feet, no I didn't force her, she asked for it herself! She chew at least 3 or 4 chicken feet quietly in her seat. It took her a LONG time and didn't clean it very thoroughly but I was very amazed indeed!
